Do I need a referral?

You will need a referral from your GP if you wish to claim a rebate from Medicare. You will need the referral the first time you see me and the referral lasts 12 months.

What are my expenses?

If you are an obstetric patient my “Letter for Antenatal Patients” details my fees and the rebates. If you are a gynaecological patient I usually charge the fees as recommended in the Australian Medical Association schedule of fees. I can provide you with a quotation before any proposed procedure.

The cost of a first consultation is $350 and $150 for a follow up visit.  Routine antenatal visits are $120. If an ultrasound is required at the same time the cost will be $100.

Where do you deliver?

I deliver at both the Royal Hospital for Women and Prince of Wales Private Hospital in Sydney.

Which is better of the two hospitals?

Both hospitals are excellent. RHW is starting to struggle with the extra demand brought about by the Medicare changes. It is a more affordable option if you are self-funded or do not have access to Medicare or private health insurance.

POWP offers the very popular Little Luxuries programme, where women can spend part of their post-natal stay at the Crowne Plaza in Coogee.

Where do you operate?

I have regular operating lists at the Royal Hospital for Women and the Prince of Wales Private Hospital.
